The entry gap is the design

Round booths that look wrong in use almost always share one fault: the back was drawn as a full circle and the gap was added afterwards. What happens then is an opening either too narrow to walk through comfortably or wide enough that the booth loses the enclosure that justified the cost.

620 mm is the opening this unit is built to. It takes a person walking in without turning sideways, and it leaves enough back on either side of the gap that the four seats still read as an enclosure from across the room. The two halves join on the entry line, so the seam is where furniture already divides.

No wall, no fixing

Everything else in the booth range assumes a wall to scribe to and a floor to bracket into. This one stands on levelling feet, which makes it the right answer for a room that gets re-planned seasonally, or for a listed floor that will not take a fixing.

The cost of that freedom is the body: a freestanding booth sees its back from every side, so it has to be finished all round rather than only where a wall would not have been. That is why the upholstery runs to the floor on this build and there is no plinth to catch a chair leg from outside.

Dark grey, in a room with low light

Dark grey is the colour most often specified for a freestanding unit, because it reads as a shape rather than as a coloured object and it stops the booth pulling attention from the bar. Under low light it goes near-black at the base and holds its tone at the top, which is what gives the unit a visible top edge in a dark room.

Any colour is available. Where the room already carries a strong wall colour, matching the booth to the wall and letting the seating disappear is the other option.
