Ending a run square at the wall reads as furniture pushed against it; the same run with a 300 mm radius on the end reads as joinery built into the room.

The end of a run decides how the room reads
Stopping square at a side wall makes a banquette look like a seat that ran out of room. Give the same run a 300 mm radius on the free end and it turns into a piece of joinery that was drawn for the space, which changes how a guest reads the whole wall even though nothing behind them changed.
300 mm is the radius that still lets a person walk around the end without turning sideways. Smaller and the return becomes a shin trap at the corner of a walkway; larger and the run loses a seat to a curve nobody sits in.
Leather, and where it stops being the right answer
Cream leather shows every mark, which is either a problem or a specification. In a room where staff wipe the seats at close-down it stays clean and looks more expensive than vinyl for years. In a room where the clean-down is a cloth over the tables, it will not, and the same banquette in a mid-tone contract vinyl will look correct at year three when the leather looks tired.
We quote both. The frame and the dimensions do not change between the two, so the material decision can be made after the sample arrives rather than before the drawing is confirmed.
What sits under the seat
The frame runs to the floor as a 90 mm hardwood rail rather than a recessed plinth, which suits a room with a skirting board it wants to line up with. Where the floor is uneven across the run length, the rail is the part that gets scribed, so the seat stays level even when the floor does not.
Send the wall length and the height of the existing skirting and the drawing comes back with the rail depth set to meet it.
