Lightweight faux leather chair, 820 mm
Lightweight is a specification, not an apology: a chair that can be lifted with one hand is a chair that gets moved rather than dragged across a floor.

What lightweight buys on a bar floor
Dragging is what destroys chairs and floor finishes at the same rate. Chairs light enough to pick up with one hand get picked up, and the frame, the glides and the floor all last longer for it.
The saving has to come from somewhere, and here it comes from the cover and the frame section rather than from thinner timber. Faux leather on a slim frame carries the same load as a heavier build without the weight.
Faux leather at this price point
Faux leather lets a run be specified in a cover that reads as leather without the cost of hides. The trade is lifespan: a sealed faux leather will last a few years of daily use at the seat edge, where a genuine hide would go on for much longer.
For a room that will be refitted before that point, the trade is straightforward. For a room that is meant to last twenty years, it is not.
