Using a strong colour on a small chair
Colour reads at a distance in proportion to the area it covers. Large lounge chairs in orange dominate a room; a compact 430 mm chair in the same orange registers as a detail, and a run of four at one end of a bar can carry a whole scheme without the room becoming orange.
White is the safer half of the pair and does the opposite job: it keeps a tight run from looking crowded and reflects light back into a dark corner.
Compact, not small
At 430 mm across and 460 mm deep this fits places a standard chair will not, and the 770 mm height keeps it from looking undersized beside a full-size table. The seat is the part that shrank; the proportions did not.
Solid wood legs with a PU seat is the combination that survives being pushed into a corner table repeatedly, because there is no upholstered edge to scuff against the table base.
