Weave as a seat surface
Woven seats are cooler than foam and do not hold spills; liquid passes through and lands on the floor instead of in a pad. On a terrace or a warm room that is a real advantage, and it is why woven seats survive in places upholstery does not.
The limit is point load. Rattan takes spread weight well and a knee in the middle less well, so a woven seat belongs where guests sit rather than climb.
380 mm wide, 900 mm tall
This is the narrowest chair in the range and the tallest, which is an unusual pair. Narrow means more seats per metre along a wall; tall means the row reads as a screen rather than as a line of chairs.
Solid wood in the frame carries the tall back without the flex that a metal frame shows at 900 mm. The rear legs run up as the back posts, so there is no joint between leg and back to work loose.
