White PU chair on black iron legs
White upholstery on black legs is a deliberate contrast that either lifts a dark room or shows every mark in it, and the difference is the cover.

White that survives a bar
White fabric on a bar floor is a decision that lasts about three months. Sealed white PU is a different proposition: the surface is non-porous, so a spilled stout wipes off and does not leave a shadow, and the coating does not yellow the way an unprotected vinyl does.
What white still shows is abrasion, and abrasion happens at the front edge of the seat. That edge takes a stitched seam here, so the seam scuffs before the coating does.
Contrast against a dark joinery scheme
Black iron legs against a black bar front make the chair disappear from the waist down and leave the white seat floating, which is a strong effect in a low-lit room and a cheap-looking one in a bright room. It works where the lighting is controlled.
The frame is coated after welding, so the joints carry the finish and there is no bare steel in a crevice to start a rust line from a spill.
