Nappa, and what the name is worth
Nappa describes the finish of a hide, not its origin: soft, lightly corrected, with the grain still visible. On a PU version it describes the emboss and the hand, and the useful question is whether the backing is fabric or paper. Fabric-backed PU flexes with the foam and lasts; the paper-backed version cracks at the fold in the first year.
At this seat height the fold under the front edge is where a cover fails first, so that is the part to look at on a sample.
450 mm square, both heights
Keeping one footprint across the adjustment range means a row of these can be lined up against a wall without regard to how each one is set. On a counter that turns from seated to standing between services, that is what makes the re-set a two-minute job.
