Adjustable stool, 600–800 mm
600 to 800 mm is the widest adjustment in this range, and it covers the entire gap between a low counter and a bar top — one model where a fit-out would otherwise need two.

Where a 200 mm range earns its money
Venues that host different formats on different nights — a low table set-up, then a standing bar — cannot be furnished with fixed stools without buying twice. Running from 600 to 800 mm, the same stool serves a low counter at the start of the evening and a high top later.
It also absorbs a mistake. Where the counter height is decided after the seating order, a range covers the uncertainty in a way that a fixed stool cannot.
What to check on a lift column
Three things. Whether the seat stays where it is put under body weight without being locked; whether the ring moves with the seat, since a fixed ring is at the wrong height for most of the range; and whether the top of the column is capped, because an open column collects whatever is spilled.
The 460 × 385 mm footprint is deliberately narrow. It fits under a shallow counter and between table legs, at the cost of lateral stability at the top of the range — which is why the base is weighted rather than left open.
