Metal stool, 650 or 750 mm, colour card
Gold feet or black feet on the same stool is the smallest decision in a fit-out and one of the few that changes the whole room, because the eye reads the floor line before it reads the seat.

The floor line is what people notice first
Walk into a bar and the first thing the eye picks up is the horizontal band where the furniture meets the floor. Gold feet put a warm line there and make a dark room read brighter; black feet make the same stools disappear and let the counter carry the room. Neither is better, but the choice has to be made once for the whole floor.
Mixing them across a room looks like a stock problem rather than a decision, which is why the two options are ordered together rather than added later.
Leather or velvet on the same frame
Leather and PU take a spill and wipe clean; velvet holds the mark until it is brushed out. On a counter where the guests are eating, leather wins on maintenance; on a lounge floor where the guests are only drinking, velvet reads richer under low light and nobody notices the marks by closing time.
Either way the frame is the same, so the cover can be changed at re-cover time without changing the stool.
