PU leather bar stool, gold base
PU on a gold frame is the combination that decides whether a bar reads as 1974 or as last year, and the whole difference sits in the sheen of the finish rather than in the shape.

Why PU rather than leather on a bar floor
Genuine leather takes a spilled drink and keeps a mark where the liquid sat; PU wipes clean with the same cloth that does the counter. On a floor where a stool sees four hundred spills a year, the material that cleans in one movement beats the material that ages gracefully, and the guest never knows which one they are sitting on.
The part that fails first on PU is not the face but the seam. Stitching through a coated surface opens a line of pinholes, and liquid finds them long before it finds the coating. Where the seat is stitched, the seam should sit on a vertical face, not on the seat where a glass is put down.
Gold is a finish, not a colour
Gold on a metal frame is a coating over the same steel tube, so the questions that matter are the same ones as for black: how many pre-treatment stages before the powder, and how thick the film is at the weld. Gold that fades at the weld seams inside two years was never gold, it was a thin wash over an unprepared surface.
Where the room has warm light, gold reflects it back and lifts the whole floor; under cold white LED the same frame goes dull yellow. That is worth checking with a sample in the actual room before a hundred are ordered.
