Moulded seat stool, H990 mm

Seats per metre
Counter seating is priced by the metre, not by the stool. Moulded seats at 370 mm across fit four to a running metre with a usable gap between them; upholstered stools at 480 mm fit three. Over a twelve-metre counter that is twelve covers, which is the whole business case for this type of seat.
The trade is comfort over a long sit. Moulded shells have no give, so the guest who stays three hours feels it and the guest who stays forty minutes does not.
Cleaning, which is the real argument
One-piece shells have no seam for liquid to enter. Wiped down at close it is dry before the chairs are stacked; an upholstered seat with a stitched edge holds a spill in the seam until the next deep clean and smells of it by the third week.
What to check is the edge. Sharp-lipped moulded seats catch clothing and chip at the corner where the shell turns; a rolled edge does neither and costs almost nothing to specify.
