Vintage Two-tone Leather Booth Seating With Marble Top Table
Two tones on one booth is a decision made at the cutting table, not at the finish stage, and it is the reason the seat and the back read as one piece rather than two panels.

The colour split has to fall on a seam that already exists
Two-tone upholstery works when the change happens where the furniture already changes plane. On this booth the split is at the seat line, which is a seam the pattern needs anyway, so the two leathers are cut as separate panels and joined there. Split the colours anywhere else, on the middle of the back for instance, and the join becomes a decorative line that has to be perfectly straight on every booth in the room, which is where two-tone jobs usually fail.
The two hides are ordered from the same dye lot and cut from the same batch, because two leathers bought separately will differ in sheen even when the colour code matches.
Marble on a bar table is a weight and a fixing problem
Marble at 20 mm on a 900 mm table weighs around 45 kg, which is more than a standard pedestal base is designed to hold at the edge. The top here sits on a 15 mm substrate that spreads the load to the base plate, and the base is bolted to the substrate rather than to the stone, so nobody is drilling marble on site.
Marble stains. Whiskey gets spilled on it. We seal the face and the edge before it leaves, and we tell clients to reseal annually, because a sealed marble that gets one re-coat a year outlasts an unsealed one that gets cleaned hard.
