Industrial Counter Height Bar Table And Chair Set, Wood Top
Counter height is the awkward one: too high to eat at comfortably, too low to lean on. It works when the seat and the top are quoted together, which is the only reason this is sold as a set.

Why 900 and 650, and not 1050 and 750
The gap between a seat and a top is what the body actually measures. At a standing bar that gap is 300 mm, which is enough to lift a glass and not enough to put a plate down and use a fork. At 900 and 650 the gap is 250 mm, which is the same as a dining table, so the surface works for food as well as drink, and the stool still has a footrest high enough to take the weight off the thighs.
That 50 mm difference is the whole reason this set exists. Order a 1050 top with a 650 stool and the gap becomes 400 mm, the elbows come up, and the zone stops being usable for anything but a drink.
Solid wood on steel, and where the two meet
The top is 30 mm solid wood, which is thick enough to hold a threaded insert rather than a screw, so the frame can be bolted and unbolted without the fixing loosening the second time. Three coats of matte lacquer on the face and two on the edge: the edge coat matters more, because that is what gets knocked by a stool being pulled out.
Four stools or two
Two stools on a 1200 mm top leaves 300 mm at each end, which is the space a person needs to slide in without moving the table. Four stools on the same length works only if the top is against a wall, where nobody needs to sit at the end. Tell us which and the stool count is quoted to match.
