Industrial round pub table, 890 mm
890 mm puts the top a hand's width under the elbow of somebody standing at it, which is the height that turns a gap in the room into a place two people stop.

Counter height is the forgotten middle
Most rooms are specified at two heights: 750 mm for anything with a chair, and 1050 mm for anything people lean on. The 890 mm band in between is where a pub actually gains covers, because it pairs with a 650 mm stool that a guest can perch on for a short stay, or stand at without feeling like they have taken a seat.
The difference between 890 and 1050 is not cosmetic. At 1050 a guest stands and the top is at hip height; at 890 the top is at elbow height and the same guest will put both arms on it, which is what keeps them in one place instead of drifting back to the bar.
550 across, and why the base matches
Top and base are both 550 mm. That is unusual, and it is the point: an iron base the same width as the top cannot be caught by a heel and gives the table a footprint that reads as one piece rather than a disc under a circle. Four legs at this height would each be exactly where somebody wants to stand, so the frame is set inboard.
Two people fit at 550 mm with a drink each. Four do not, and forcing four onto it is how a standing area turns into a crowd with nowhere to put anything down.
The finish takes the abuse
Rustic brown hides the ring a cold glass leaves, the scuff from a boot, and the small chips that arrive in any room with hard floors. It also means the table can be touched up locally instead of being replaced when one corner loses its coat.
Where the room is dark and the lighting is warm, a lighter top reads better and a darker frame reads better underneath it; the two are specified separately for that reason.
