Cane will not stretch to a curve. On a curved back the weave is cut into panels and set into the frame in segments, which is why the frame on this piece is heavy.

Cane has to be segmented
Woven cane is stiff. It will take a gentle curve and it will not take a booth radius without buckling, so the back on this piece is built from five separate panels, each set into a rebate in the oak frame.
The frame then has to carry the panels and hold the radius at the same time, which is why it is 45 mm rather than the 25 mm used on a flat back. That frame is the reason the piece reads as joinery rather than upholstery.
Between the segments
The mullions between panels are 30 mm and they do a second job: they break the cane at eye level in a way that makes the back look constructed instead of bent.
They also give you a place to repair. One damaged panel comes out without touching the rest.
Half-round, and the table inside it
Inside 1100 mm takes a 700 mm round table with room for a guest to get in and out at the open side. Any tighter and the entry becomes a shuffle.
Send the table diameter before the drawing is issued. The radius follows the table, not the other way round.
