Curves change the button grid
On a flat back the diamond grid is a constant. On a curve, the same grid has to compress along the inside radius and open along the outside, or the pattern walks around the piece and the seam at the back does not close.
The grid here is set at 110 mm on the inside face and re-cut for the outer, so both faces hold a consistent diamond at eye level. That is done on a flat table before the back is formed, not after.
Two halves, joined on site
At this radius the booth will not go through a door assembled. It ships as two halves that meet on a centre line behind the seat, bolted through plates inside the carcass.
The joint is set where the two halves have the least curvature, so the seam is short and the upholstery can be pulled across it without a visible break.
Radius first, table second
Every curved booth begins with the radius, not with the seat count. Inside 1200 mm takes a four-seat table comfortably; inside 900 mm is a two-seat and reads as a private nook.
