Camel warms a wall without shouting

In a room with pale timber and white walls, camel reads as the one warm element, and it does it without the commitment of an orange or a rust. Under 2700 K it goes toward tan; under cooler light it goes toward sand.

That sensitivity is the reason to check the swatch under the actual lamps. Camel specified from a card printed in daylight is one of the most common near-misses we see.

Continuous seat, channel back

The seat runs as one pad from end to end with the joint only at each crate, while the back is divided into 55 mm channels. That combination keeps the sitting surface even and stops the back from reading as a series of separate chairs.

Foam is 40 mm at the back and 75 mm on the seat, different densities. Same number in both places is what makes a booth feel either hard or vague.

Timber frame above the cover

Forty millimetres of timber runs above the top channel and returns down each end. It gives the eye a line to follow along a long wall, which a fully upholstered run does not have.

Stained, not painted, so the top rail can be refreshed where hands rest on it. Ask for the touch-in to be supplied with the order.
