Foam has nowhere to go in a corner

Build an L as two straight runs meeting at a mitre and the padding at the joint has to compress into the same space twice. Within a year that one square metre is the softest part of the booth and the only part guests avoid.

Three carcasses instead of two. Each arm is built and upholstered as its own piece, and the corner is a separate unit with the inside radius already formed at 300 mm. Nothing is compressed into place, and the seam sits on the outside of the corner where a fitter can reach it.

Buttoned leather in a room that gets wiped down nightly

Leather takes a wipe. The buttons are where a cloth stops, so the tufts are set at 25 mm and the wells are shallow enough to reach the bottom of with a finger and a cloth. Deeper tufting looks better in the showroom and holds spilled beer until it smells.

Contract leather at 1.3 mm, pigment-finished, because an aniline hide would mark with the first wet glass. The button covers are leather too, stitched rather than glued.

No corner fits through a door

Assembled, this unit does not fit through a standard service door. It ships as three crates with the corner numbered, and the arms are bolted to it on site through plates set inside the carcass.

Send the room corner dimension and the two wall lengths. The drawing comes back with the arms cut to those, and the corner radius noted against whatever the room actually has.
