Light Luxury Nightclub Lounge U Shape Half Round Bar Booths
Diamond buttoning holds the padding down at fixed points, which is why a buttoned back still has shape after five years while a plain back over the same frame has gone soft at the shoulders.

120 mm pitch, and why not wider
Buttoning works by pulling the cover down to the frame at fixed points. Set the buttons 120 mm apart and the padding between them stays compressed; set them 200 mm apart and the foam bulges into each diamond and the back starts to look inflated rather than tailored.
The other half of it is the foam. 50 mm behind a buttoned face reads firm, which is right for a back that a person leans on for an hour, and it is what stops the diamond pattern from flattening where the shoulders land most often.
Back height changes what the corner is for
At 1150 mm the back is above the head of anyone sitting, so the corner reads as a room inside the room. That is the point of putting one in a snug: it makes four seats feel private without building a wall, and it does it in the corner where a wall was already doing half the work.
Below about 1000 mm the same corner stops being private and starts being a bench, which is fine in an open room and wrong in a space that was meant to feel enclosed.
Nothing under the seat to kick
The body is upholstered to the floor. In a low room that means the booth has no visible base at all, which is what keeps a corner from reading as a box pushed into it. It also moves the impact of feet and bags from a finished panel onto 50 mm of foam and leather, which recovers where a panel would not.
The trade-off is floor cleaning at the bottom edge, so this build suits a room that gets swept properly rather than one where a machine runs past the front only.
