Custom solid wood chair, cotton seat
Cotton is the cover guests notice by touch rather than by eye, and on a chair that is chosen for a room rather than for a catalogue that is the right trade.

Cotton on a commercial seat
Cotton breathes and feels soft, and it stains. Both of those are true, which is why a cotton cover belongs on a chair that is specified per room rather than bought from stock: the specification can put a stain treatment on it and the colour can be chosen to hide what the treatment cannot.
Weight matters more than weave. Heavier cotton with a tight weave takes abrasion at the seat edge; a light cotton goes thin at the same point within two years.
Built to a specification
Frame profile, seat height, cover and colour are all open on this model. That suits a room that was designed before the chairs were ordered, and it is the usual route when a chair has to match a banquette that is already on site.
Samples go both ways before the run starts: a fabric sample out to site to check against the room, and a cover sample back from the workshop before the full cut.
