Timber chair, custom fabric seat
American country is the profile that makes a timber chair look hand-made, and the frame here is built to survive being treated like one.

Spindle back, and why it holds
Spindles look delicate and are structurally conservative: each one is in compression between the seat and the top rail, so load pushes them together rather than pulling a joint apart. That is why country chairs outlive more modern profiles.
The weak point is where spindles enter the seat, and it is a matter of socket depth. Shallow sockets let a spindle work sideways until the hole opens; deeper sockets with a glued wedge hold for decades.
Custom fabric, specified once
Seat and back take the same fabric, so a run matches without anyone having to judge two samples against each other. Send the fabric or the specification and it is cut and stapled to a moulded shell rather than to a board, which keeps the pad from going flat across the middle.
Black, white and brown are held as frame colours. Other colours are matched to a sample from site.
