Leather stool on tall metal legs, H895 mm
895 mm overall on a 380 mm footprint is a narrow stool with a tall back, and the narrowness is what lets it line a counter that has no room behind it.

Narrow base, tall legs
Tall legs on a small base is the combination that tips, unless the legs splay and the feet are loaded. On this frame the splay does the work: the footprint at floor level is wider than the seat, which is what keeps the stool planted when a guest leans back.
The trade is toe space. Splayed legs catch a shoe, so they belong against a wall or a counter front, not on a walk line.
Leather on a narrow seat
380 mm of seat takes a small leather panel, which is the cheapest kind to replace and the least likely to crack at a fold. Where the seat is narrow, the leather lasts longer than on a wide one for exactly that reason.
