Teak terrace stool
Teak outdoors is bought for its oil, not its colour: the oil is what keeps water out, and it is also what fades if the piece is left without attention for two seasons.

Oiled, not lacquered
Film finishes on outdoor timber trap moisture at the first crack and lifts in sheets. Oil goes into the surface and can be renewed with a cloth, which is the only maintenance that gets done on a terrace anyway.
Left alone, teak silvers and the grain lifts. That is a look some venues want, and it should be a decision rather than an oversight.
Made to order
Terrace counters are rarely at a standard height, because they sit on paving that was laid to a fall. Sizing the stool to the finished counter is cheaper than lowering the paving.
