Timber stool with footrest, 650 / 750 mm
Built-in footrest on a timber stool is not the same thing as a stretcher: one is placed for a shoe, the other for structure, and a stool that only has the second ends up with feet on the rungs.

Footrest placed, not inherited
Where a stool has no purpose-made rest, guests put their feet on the stretcher, which is set low for bracing and high enough to be uncomfortable. Setting a rest 250 to 300 mm above the floor takes the weight off the seat and stops the habit.
On a timber frame the rest is a separate rail, so it can be matched to the height of the stool rather than shared with the version below it.
Two heights, one drawing
The 650 and 750 mm versions differ only in leg length, which means the back, the rest and the seat angle are identical on both. On a venue with a counter and a bar top, that keeps the two runs looking like one order.
