Timber counter stool, 550 / 650 / 750 mm
400 mm square is the footprint that lets a venue put five stools in the space four normally take, and the three seat heights are what make that usable at more than one counter.

Same footprint at every height
Keeping the plan size constant across 550, 650 and 750 mm means a run can mix heights without the floor pattern going crooked. On a venue with a low counter along one wall and a bar top on the other, that is one order rather than two.
The 550 mm version is the one that gets forgotten: it is the height for a low table in a corner, and it is the difference between a furnished corner and a corner with a spare chair in it.
Shaped seat, no cushion
Dished seats hold a guest in place without a pad, and it cannot be compressed flat. The shaping is cut rather than bent, which is why this stool is thicker at the seat than a bent version of the same outline would be.
