Solid wood swivel stool, leather seat
Wooden swivel stools are the one piece of bar furniture that has to match the joinery and still turn, which is why the frame is matched by colour rather than picked from a card.

Matching timber that is already on site
Swivel stools with a timber frame are normally bought to sit inside joinery that is already up: a counter face, a bar front, a back-bar shelf. Staining to a name on a card gets close and never matches under the room's own light, so the frame is matched to a sample sent from site.
That costs a week and saves the thing everyone notices on opening night, which is a chair that is the wrong brown next to a bar that is the right one.
The plate under a timber seat
Swivel plates screwed to a solid timber seat hold until the timber moves, then the screws work in their holes and the seat develops a rock. The fix is a plate bolted through with a metal insert rather than into bare wood, and a seat thick enough not to cup around it.
