Five heights, one shape
Most collections offer two heights and a compromise. Five is what it takes to cover a real venue: 820 mm for a low counter, 920 for a standard one, 1020 and 1070 for a bar top or a standing ledge along a window. The silhouette stays identical, so the room reads as one order.
The heights step by 50 mm and then by 100, which is the resolution a fit-out actually needs, since counter heights rarely move in smaller increments than that.
Fabric on a bar seat
Fabric is comfortable and honest, and it is the wrong choice where drinks get spilled. The version that works in a bar is a tight, hard-wearing weave with a stain treatment, on a seat that can be unscrewed, because a fabric seat will need re-covering before the frame needs anything.
Where the seat is stitched, the seam should run along the front edge rather than across the middle of the seat. Centre seams collect everything that is put down on them.
