White ash bar stool, 650 / 700 / 750 mm
Three seat heights off one ash frame is the practical answer to a fit-out where the counter and the bar top are not the same height, and the drawing is not final when the order goes out.

650, 700 or 750 — measured against what
The seat height is only meaningful next to a counter height, and the pairing that works is a gap of roughly 250 mm between seat and the underside of the top. That puts a 650 mm seat under a 900 mm counter, a 700 mm seat under a 950 mm top, and a 750 mm seat under a 1000 to 1050 mm bar.
Ordering the wrong one is not a small error: 50 mm too low and the guest sits with their chin at counter level, 50 mm too high and their knees stop the stool going under. This is why the same frame is offered in all three.
White ash, and why the finish is thin
Ash is chosen for a pale, open grain that reads clearly under a thin finish. That is also its weakness: a heavy lacquer turns it yellow in a few years and the grain disappears, so the finish on an ash stool should be a clear oil or a very light seal that can be renewed.
Ash is also hard enough to take knocks at the leg ends, where a bar stool meets the floor and the footrail. On a softer species those knocks become dents that hold dirt; on ash they stay as marks that sand out.
