High-back games stool, H1190 mm
1190 mm overall is a stool for someone who is not getting up — the back reaches the shoulder blades, which is the height where a seat stops being a perch and starts being furniture.

Stools for a long sit
Gaming stools, standing counters and the row along a sports screen all have the same requirement: the guest stays for an hour without their back complaining. That rules out the backless perch, and it rules out a back that stops at the waist. The useful height is shoulder-blade level, so the spine is supported where it actually bends.
The trade is that a tall back needs a heavier base and a deeper seat pan than a perch, because the same guest will lean back in it. High backs on light pedestals are a tipping accident waiting for the first busy night.
PU at this height
The cover takes more contact at this seat height than anywhere else on a bar floor: the guest is settled, their back is against the pad, and their hands are on a machine rather than on a glass. PU handles that better than fabric because it does not absorb what is spilled over an evening, and better than leather because it does not stain at the fold where the back meets the seat.
Foam is the quiet specification. Forty millimetres of high-density foam still feels firm in year three; a 60 mm pad of soft foam is comfortable in the showroom and flat on the frame by the second winter.
