Colour in the powder coat, not on it
Powder-coated steel holds a saturated colour because the pigment is in the coating that is baked onto the metal, and the coating is thick enough that the base does not show through. Paint chips to bare metal; powder coat chips to primer and stays coloured in the chip, which is why a teal table still reads as teal after two years of service.
The colour is also repairable in a way a dye is not: a scuff on a vinyl seat will always show, a scuff on powder coat can be touched in.
Folded edge on a 25 mm panel
Folding the steel over the edge of the panel hides the core and stiffens the top at the same time, so an 800 mm square does not drum when a glass lands. The fold is also where a chair gets pushed into the table, which is why it is a folded return rather than a rubber bumper: it absorbs the knock and stays in line.
One colour, two materials
Teal tables with black seating is a deliberate split: the colour sits on the horizontal surface where it is seen from above, and the vertical elements stay dark so the room does not become a colour field. Reversing it, with teal chairs and black tables, reads as a children's area.
