Luxury Themed Bar Set With Upholstered Stools And Polished Marble Top
Polished marble with a tan stool on a brass frame is a period combination that keeps coming back, because the three materials give three different reflections in one view.

Polished slab, mitred edge
The mitred edge returns the slab down the front face so the top reads as a solid block of stone rather than a thin sheet with a visible core. On a polished surface the mitre is also the place a cheap job shows: the pattern has to be matched across the joint, or the edge reads as a separate piece of stone glued on.
The slab is 20 mm on a backing board, not solid stone. Solid stone at this size is a two-man lift per metre and will crack if the counter is not perfectly flat underneath, which most bar carcasses are not.
Brass-toned frames and wear
Brass-toned powder coat holds its colour where a real brass lacquer wears through at the footring within a year. On a stool that is used for hours at a time, the footring is where every shoe lands, so the finish there is the one that matters.
Real brass is available for feature stools and should be specified only where the stool is not also a step.
Tan PU on a tall stool
Tan PU over a 40 mm foam seat with a low back gives the stool the look of a leather banquet chair at a fraction of the cost, and it wipes down. The compromise is longevity: PU will crack at the flex point after four or five years of heavy use, where a hide would have softened.
