What sintered stone actually is
Sintered stone is a pressed mineral slab fired until the particles fuse, which gives a surface with no resin to burn and no porosity to stain. On a bar top that means a cigarette end left on the surface leaves nothing, neat spirit evaporates without a ring, and a hot pan goes straight down. Laminate fails all three; sealed timber fails two.
The twelve millimetre slab is bonded to a backing board because stone alone is brittle in a thin section. The joint is where a cheap table fails: if the slab is only glued at the edges, a knock on the rim will delaminate it. Full-surface bonding here means the stone is supported everywhere, so an impact chips a small area rather than lifting a sheet.
Curved benches and the radius problem
Curved benches have to hold their shape against a room full of people leaning back, so the curve is built on a plywood shell with a hardwood subframe rather than being formed in foam alone. The visible curve is the same radius as the table it serves, which is what lets a guest sit at any point and still be the same distance from the top.
Embroidered or stitched seams run along the curve rather than across it, so the cover pulls tight without puckering.
Why green leather in a luxury club
Emerald leather takes a deep dye that stays saturated under warm light, where a black cover reads as a shadow and a tan one reads as brown by midnight. It also shows the shape of the tufting and the piping, which is the detail the whole set is selling.
