Grey that does not go green
Warm-grey leather under a 2700 K lamp picks up the red in the light and stays neutral, where a cool blue-grey turns green by the end of the evening. The greys used here are warm-based for that reason, and they are specified with a matt finish so the surface does not mirror the room's lighting back at the guest.
Brown in the same order covers the bays where a warmer tone is needed, and because both are the same construction they read as one scheme rather than two.
Low backs in a booth
The 820 mm back sits at shoulder height on a seated guest, which encloses the bay without blocking the view across the floor. Higher backs are available but change the room: at 1100 mm the bays become private and the floor loses its openness, which is right for a members' room and wrong for a busy bar.
Compact laminate as the default top
Laminate takes a dropped glass, a spilled drink and a cleaning chemical without any of the marking that timber shows, and it costs less than a solid wood top of the same size. Where the room is designed around the seating rather than the tables, that is the correct allocation of budget.
