Commercial Luxury Leather Lounge Seating Set With Tufted Armchairs
Cognac leather is the one colour that makes a dark room feel warm without making it feel bright, which is why it turns up in every whiskey bar that gets the lighting right.

Why cognac works in a low-lit room
At 2200 K the eye loses blue, so a cognac leather reads as a warm mid-brown with visible depth while a black cover goes flat and a grey one turns green. Cognac also shows wear as a lightening of the high points rather than as scuffing, which is why an eight-year-old cognac chair looks better than a new one.
Synthetic leather holds the tone more evenly than a hide, where the dye shifts across the piece. That matters on a set of four: hides from different areas of an animal will not match exactly, and on a club floor four chairs that are almost the same colour look like a mistake.
Rolled arm, button back, and what it costs to sit in
The rolled arm is what makes a club chair comfortable for two hours rather than twenty minutes, because it takes the forearm at a natural height instead of forcing the elbows down. The cost is width: at 780 mm, four armchairs take more floor than six side chairs, so a lounge floor holds fewer covers per square metre.
Hand-pulled buttons on the back are the labour in this chair. Sixty pulls per back, each one tied at a fixed depth so the diamonds stay even.
Low tables and reach
At 520 mm a low table sits just below the arm of a 430 mm seat, so a glass is reachable without sitting forward. Raise the table to 750 mm and the same chair forces the guest upright, which changes the room from a lounge into a bar with soft seats.
