American Solid Wood Bar Table Set With Stools
American bar furniture is bigger in section than European of the same period, and that extra timber is what makes a room feel established rather than fitted out.

Heavier sections, and why
American bar furniture from the mid-century used 40 mm tops and 50 mm square legs where European pieces of the same date used 25 mm and 32 mm. The difference is visible from across a room: a heavier section reads as permanent, and a lighter one reads as furniture that was bought rather than built.
It also lasts longer in service. Tops at 40 mm can be sanded and re-finished twice over their life; one at 25 mm gets a single pass, and the second time it gets thin enough to cup.
Sealing over staining
Every surface here is sealed rather than oiled, because a bar table meets spirits, citrus and cleaning chemicals daily. Catalysed sealer resists all three; oil resists none of them and needs re-oiling every few months, which no bar ever does.
The seat tops are sealed to the same standard, since a wet glass left on a stool overnight will mark an oiled surface permanently.
Mixing heights in one order
Tables at 750 mm and stools at 750 mm seat height are the same number in two different roles, which is why they are ordered together: the same timber, the same finish and the same frame black across both. Rooms that run a low zone and a standing zone then read as one fit-out rather than two purchases.
