Counter height is the compromise height
At 900 mm a guest can perch with feet on a rail and still talk to someone standing, which is why counter height works in the mixed zone between a bar and a dining floor. At 1050 mm the same guest is committed to sitting, and at 750 mm they are committed to a chair with a back. Nine hundred is the height that lets a room change use between afternoon and evening without moving furniture.
The stools are 620 mm rather than 650, which gives a 280 mm gap under the top. That is the clearance that lets a guest cross their legs without their knee hitting the apron.
Wall tops: the bracket is the product
The wall top is only as good as its bracket. Two folded steel brackets at 6 mm, bolted through into studs or masonry with four fixings each, carry a 1200 mm span with two guests leaning on it. The failure mode in cheap versions is a single central bracket, which turns the top into a lever and pulls the fixings out of the wall the first time someone sits on the end.
Bracket packs are supplied for either wall type because the site rarely knows which it has until the day of install.
Slim frame, timber top, no apron
The frame is 30 mm square rather than 50, which keeps the leg from reading as a post and lets the timber top be the visual weight. Without an apron the table has no racking resistance of its own, so the leg frames are welded as complete rectangles rather than built up on site.
