Brushed stainless round table
Radial brushing on the pedestal is a two-minute operation that decides whether the table reads as machined metal or as a painted tube, and it is the first thing anyone touching it notices.

Brushed metal is a finish you can repair
Polished stainless shows every fingerprint and cannot be fixed once it is scratched. Brushed stainless takes the same abuse and hides it, because the grain that scatters the light also scatters the damage. On a bar floor, where a table gets knocked by chairs and wiped with a cloth that has seen better nights, that difference decides how the room looks in year three.
The grain also has to run one way. Brushed in two directions on the same top, the surface reads as patchy under warm light even though it is clean.
Sizes that step by 100 mm
The top runs from 400 to 700 mm in 100 mm steps, and the height steps once: 740 mm up to 600 mm diameter, 780 mm at 700 mm. That split is not arbitrary — a 700 mm top on a 740 mm pedestal is a table somebody sits at, and a 740 mm top that wide reads as a platform.
At 740 mm the table takes a 450 mm chair; at 780 mm it takes a 500 mm seat and sits slightly taller in the room, which is useful beside a bar counter that already sets a high line.
Metal in a wet zone
Stainless survives spilled beer, cleaning chemicals and the mop. The painted iron frame underneath does not, so the specification that matters is the coating on the frame and how far up the pedestal it runs. Where the table is going to be moved every night, the base should be stainless too.
