Cocktail table, 1100 mm, lit body
At 1100 mm a cocktail table clears the elbow of everyone standing around it, which is why the format works on a terrace: the top is above the crowd, not in the middle of it.

The height decides whether people use it
Terrace furniture is bought for one season and judged in the first hour. At 750 mm the table gets used as a seat, blocks the walk line, and ends up pushed against the wall. The same footprint at 1100 mm stands above the crowd, holds four drinks at a reachable height, and leaves the floor under it open for feet.
450 mm across is the smallest top that still takes four glasses and an ashtray without anyone putting a drink on the ground. Bigger tops at this height start to become obstacles in the dark.
Why the body lights up
Outdoor areas after dark have two lighting problems: the floor is unlit, and the edge of anything on it is invisible. Lighting the body solves both — the table becomes the marker for the floor around it, and guests stop walking into it. It also means the terrace can run at lower ambient light, which is what makes an outdoor room feel like a room.
Moulded plastic is the right body for this because it can be one piece, sealed against rain, and wiped down at the end of the night. Timber and steel both need maintenance on a terrace that a plastic body does not.
Storage between seasons
These stack, which matters more than the catalogue photos suggest. Terraces holding thirty tables in July hold four in January, and a format that cannot be stacked either fills the store room or gets left outside to fail.
