Footrest at counter height
At 890 mm overall the seat sits near 630 mm, which is a guest whose feet reach the floor on a good day. Without a rest, they slide forward and sit on the edge; with one placed at 250 mm, the weight moves off the seat and the posture holds.
On this frame the rest is part of the leg structure rather than an add-on, so it braces the frame as well as the guest.
Six leather colours
Leather is dyed through, so a scratch reads as a lighter line rather than a white one, and the six colours here are chosen to age rather than to match a paint card. Cinnamon and caramel darken; oat and flint lighten at the hand positions.
